M.A. In Leadership Development

Master of Arts in Leadership Development is a college programme designed to equip the learners to be competent to serve as Christ-like leaders to serve the church and community and advance the Kingdom of God. This sixty-credit programme is devised to bring about a spiritual transformation in the lives of the participants, strengthen their theological mind, instill a biblical understanding of the nature of the church and make them capable of making strategic planning based on analysis and interpretation of the context of their ministry.

OBJECTIVES

  • To instill in the participants a profound foundation of biblical principles and kingdom values of leadership and serving.

  • To help the participants develop and equip themselves and leaders in the church as Christ-like leaders to serve the body of Christ and the society.

  • To develop transformational leadership for the church who will be able to appraise the leadership needs and design a leadership development plan for an organization.

  • To develop in the participants a biblical culture of relational and team leadership according to the scriptural principle of the church as a body of Christ.

  • To help the participants develop and demonstrate advanced leadership capacity to act on the roles assigned to them with an increased skill in critical analysis, decision making and implementation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or a bachelor’s degree in theology.

  • 3-5 years of experience in the field Christian ministry of any sort where the candidate had a leadership role.

  • There should be a strong conviction of the call of God to serve the church as a Christ-like leader.

  • A clear vision about the leadership role of the candidate for the extension of the kingdom of God.

  • The candidate should have proven English language skill to meet the programme requirements.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

  • Completion of 60 credit hours. (MA in Leadership Development is a 60-credit programme. A full-time student can complete the programme in two-year time. However, a part-time student may need a minimum three years to complete the programme.)

  • A minimum of 40% marks in each subject and an overall average of 50%.

  • Submission of a ministry project proposal guided by faculty in charge.

  • 85% attendance for the online chapel service.
