B.Th. English Medium (Accredited by ATA)

The Bachelor of Theology is a three-year program accredited by ATA This programme aims at training young men and women to serve the Lord and his people and society being Christ-like leaders.

This programme intends to equip the participants with foundational knowledge in various theological disciplines.  It will help them acquire sufficient biblical, scriptural and practical training to serve the Lord and his people and the society demonstrating Christlikeness through their life.

OBJECTIVES

  • To equip the students with a comprehensive knowledge of the Bible, Christian doctrine, history of the church and its heritage

  • To develop the students as leaders who practice the biblical principles in their own life and ministry.

  • To equip the students for practical christian service for the extension of the Kingdom of God and building of the church.

  • To develop the students as Christ-like leaders who would eventually inspire the succeeding generation to follow their example and impact the world with the power of the Gospel.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

  • The applicants must be born-again Christians.

  • Successful competition of Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (+2). (NOTE: Those who are waiting for their +2 results can also apply for admission. Their admission will be provisional until they produce their pass certificate by the end of semester one. If they fail their admission will be cancelled.)

  • The candidate must have a good knowledge of English to read, write and for oral communication.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

  • The student is required to successfully complete a minimum of 120 credit hours.

  • The student should score a minimum 40% for each course and an overall 50%.

  • The student is required to successfully complete 12 credit hours of Weekend practical and summer vacation ministry. The 12 credit hours spread over for the three years is part of the 120 credits.

  • The student is required to complete one approved unit of field internship.

  • Every semester the student should score a minimum grade of 65% for their spiritual, character and ministry formation evaluated by peers, faculty and ministry supervisors.

  • The student should pass the Exit Interview which evaluate the formation of the student in the areas of preparedness for Christian ministry, cultivation of spiritual disciplines and competence in Mission, Biblical Studies, Religion, Systematic Theology and Church History.
